Problem

Schools needed a reliable attendance and results register that works on a single Windows PC without depending on daily internet, separate teacher logins, or expensive multi-module SaaS.

Solution

Built SMS Register as a Tauri 2 desktop app with React and TypeScript UI, SQLite on disk, admin-only PIN login, class-based teacher access, promote/retain flows, mark sheets, progress views, OCR-assisted student intake, and USB backup/restore — plus a license admin console on Supabase.

Outcome

Schools get a installable offline register covering attendance, students, staff, subjects, results, and reports from Katchi through Class 10, with backups they control and no cloud dependency for daily marking.
